NEIGHBOURHOOD ACTION PANELS (N.A.Ps)

Are you fed up with anti-social behaviour, boy racers, speeding cars, noise or youth nuisance?
Do you want to see litter, fly tipping, graffiti, abandoned vehicles and rubbish cleared?
Are you worried about issues relating to to violence, criminal damage, drug and alcohol misuse or other crime issues?
Are there problems in your local community that just don’t seem to get resolved and you don’t know who will help you?
Why not take the issue or problem along to your local community Neighbourhood Action Panel or pass on information anonymously if you wish to the named NAP contacts.
IF IT’S A PROBLEM, LET’S GET IT RESOLVED TOGETHER!
Neighbourhood Action Panels (NAP’s) is an initiative led by Essex Police - Eastern Division in partnership with the Colchester Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership (CCDRP) and Colchester Borough Council. Each NAP will consist of representatives from the local community, residents’ associations, children and young people, voluntary agencies, schools, faith groups, Town and Parish councillors, Colchester Borough Council, Essex County Council and other statutory groups or organisations that are best placed to make a valuable contribution to community problem solving throughout Colchester.

1. Action Plans for every community Neighbourhood Action Panel
An essential part of any group that wants to resolve local community problems is knowing what needs to be done, when, how, the cost and who is the lead person making sure the task happens. Minutes can often lead to a ‘talking shop syndrome’ which is why the work of every Neighbourhood Action Panel is framed in an Action Plan that concentrates on achieving outcomes that bring real benefits to the local community.
To obtain a copy of any NAP Action Plan you can either contact the named people in section 6 below or visit the following police website.

2. How we intend to communicate with our communities?
All members of every Neighbourhood Action Panel are responsible for promoting, publicising and communicating the dates, times and venues of each meeting.
