ABOUT US

Combating crime and making our communities as safe as possible requires a mix of statutory, community and voluntary agencies working with residents, pupils, businesses, visitors and students to make a difference. The documents you will find in this section reflect the complex partnership working that takes place without which our communities would not be as safe as they are now in Colchester.

This section also provide information about how the Crime Partnership funds Crime Partnership funds its work without which many vital and important projects to reduce crime and make Colchester even safer would not take place.

Working in partnership requires the effective use of the press and other media opportunities to raise awareness of our crime reduction initiatives and other successful projects which make Colchester one of the safest towns in England with a population of over 100,000.

If you have any questions, require further information please contact Peter Carrington, Community Safety Co-ordinator for Colchester Borough Council & the Colchester Crime & Disorder Reduction Partnership at peter.carrington@colchester.gov.uk or phone 01026 717816.
